The Ghostbusters are back!

Yes that's right, once again its time to remember not to cross the streams as the Ghostbusters return at long last but this time in the form of a PS3 game! Featuring the voices of all of four of the paranormal pack - Dan Akroyd, Bill Murray, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson as well as a story written by the original writers Dan Akroyd and Harold Ramis.  

The game is set in 1991 a few years after the events of Ghostbusters 2 where you play as a new recruit to the Ghostbusters who are happily still earning a living busting err Ghosts around New York.

As well as the infamous Proton Pack and Ghost Trap, you will get to hunt down Ghosts using a variety of Phantom Catching Weaponry in order to save New York which Egon has been developing and decided you (the new guy) should be the Guinea Pig to test them.  You also get to use the PK Scanner that appeared in the Films which tracks Ghosts and is sure to add a serious amount of tension to the experience.

Martin Tremblay, president, Worldwide Studios for Sierra Entertainment had this to say "Together we will create the ultimate Ghostbusters experience, full of the characters, ghosts and other paranormal creatures so many have come to adore over the years."

A whole host of Familiar creatures from the Movies will also be making a return such as Slimer, The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man and Gozer which will only add to this being a very hotly anticipated releases for the PS3.

Expect to get slimed on the PS3 March 2009!
